Halifax - Dec 2 2009
We are pleased to announced that we are in the final stages of processing grants to sites. Some may begin receiving their grants as early as Friday but for others it may be closer to Christmas, however we will try our best.
Reporting for these grants is due March 21st 2010 and covers the period of April 1st 2009 to March 31st 2010.
Please note that each C@P site will be expected to provide photos and GPS coordinates of their location as benchmarks in the reporting exercise*.
All other Minimum Standards & Terms have not changed, please check with Dan if you need information on these.
We are hoping to fund up to 40 sites. Sites are selected on previous period reporting. We are not accepting new applications this year.
The Community Acces Program is a Government of Canada - Industry Canada Initiative supported in Nova Scotia by the Department of Rural & Economic Development. In HRM, over 40 public access sites benefit from sustainability grants, IT research, and training to help communities foster healthy digital citizens.
NOTE:
*Photos have always been mandatory however this is the first year that failing to provide photos may disqualify you from future year's funding.
We can provide help with GPS coordinates, and the purpose of those is to enter each of your information in Google Earth in order to provide an interactive map on our website. Every site will be entered into this map.
