Andrew just completed his third successful year of study at Dalhousie University, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he is studying Computer Science.  In the fall of 2009, Andrew will commence his final year of study at Dalhousie.  In addition to being an avid soccer fan, Andrew’s interests include: networks and network security, web (page/application) development, as well as software development.

This is Andrews third term with the Halifax Regional C@P Association and Andrew intends to spend the duration of his tenure offering his knowledge, skills and interests to the Waverly C@PSite and surrounding community.  Last summer Andrew redesigned the community’s webpage, which now contains a multitude of features designed to strengthen a sense of community across the diaspora of citizens in the Waverly community and abroad.  This summer Andrew plans to continue the development of the website by adding features and community related information to the page.

Additionally, to meet the demand of community citizen, Andrew plans to offer a range of classes related to internet and communications technologies at the Waverly C@PSite, including: Twitter, Facebook, eBay, and Amazon .ca, to name a few.

“I feel privileged to be a part of the C@P program. My interest are primarily technology based, and I very much enjoy being able to share my knowledge with the community of Waverly”, Andrew says.

Welcome back Andrew, and best of luck during the 2009 Summer Youth Initiative.
