Functional Area
Minimum Qualifications of Applicant - Skill Sets
- Experience drafting policies,
- Knowledge of financial accounting principles and the role of the board and the duties of board members,
- Knowledge of legal responsibilities of boards and the role of organizational vision, mission and values,
- Knowledge and experience using the Policy Governance Model (Carver model) or similar governance structures,
- Applicant must pass a criminal records check.
Specific Duties
- Aligning the organization's culture and leadership style to goals established through business plan,
- Using a solution-oriented approach to plan strategies, surmount obstacles and achieve,
- Conducting effective board and committee meetings,
- Creating and empowering work teams,
- Designing the planning process to fit specific organizations and work teams.

- Workshops and seminars on Organizational Development
Work Environment
- Boardroom or office environment
Support/ Supervision
- Supervised by member appointed by Board for duration of orientation and probationary periods.
